As you might imagine, we partied like rockstars last night for New Year's Eve. I fell asleep around 9pm and Jamie woke me up at 11:45. I took the semi-frozen champagne off ice ( a feat that should have been accomplished quite awhile ago) and as I was about to uncork, Jamie reminded me of my last Chimay uncorking experience that nearly put a hole in our kitchen window, so I proceeded outside on the porch to finish the job. Then, after quite a lengthy New Year's toast with the weeping cherry tree in the front flower bed, the bubbly had simmered down enough to go back inside. We watched the ball drop, saddened once again by poor Dick Clark, toasted the champagne, and pretty much kissed goodnight. I had to be up bright and early this morning for a workout on campus so as you can see was rather uneventful. I did, however, finally get some rechargable batteries for my camera, so I played around with it before I fell asleep. Here's some of Marley a few minutes after midnight on January 1st, 2010.
