Neglected

It's been a while since I've paid any attention to this thing and, in my defense, rightfully so. And to be truthful, the only real reason I am on here now is the because the smoke detector started chirping at 6:00AM this morning to let me know he needed some more juice. Anyway it's been pretty hectic around here last few weeks, again, for obvious reasons. Jamie is 37 weeks along but really hasn't shown much sign of laboring early at our last two doctor appointments. I told her the baby knowns we have still neglected to get a car seat and thus refuses to begin "negotiating the birth canal." Cross country for Chad and I at New Albany is nearing the end. Two weeks ago we won our OCC conference meet and then also squeaked out a somewhat surprising win over perennial powerhouse Reynoldsburg for the district title this past Saturday. So, this coming Saturday, we will race at the Regional meet and hopefully finish in the top 4 to garner a spot at the State Cross Country meet the following weekend. It's been a lot of fun coaching these guys for the past three years and they are finally beginning to understand how to train and race successfully at this level. It's also a nice change of pace for my own running career. Coaching these guys allows me to step away from my training for a few months and focus my energy somewhere else. So it also seems to serve as a bit of a mental refresher, I guess.
As for all of my house/nesting projects that have taken place since those two little pink lines showed up in February.......they are very near completion. Just seeing a Sherwin Williams ad gets me naucious. I really just have to install the remaining 4 childproof electrical outlets in the dining room and we are in business. I have redone two full bathrooms, painted the upstairs hallway/stairway/downstairs hallway/kitchen/garage/dining room, refinished the kitchen cabinets, designed & painted the nursery, and changed nearly 1,245 electrical outlets and switches, or so it seems, in this house. So, I guess I will be trying to soak up as much rest and quiet time as possible in hopefully what are the next 3 weeks, yet with respect that a significant D-day could be lurking around any corner. And as for names.....yeah we are still undecided and really haven't made much progress since I was blackballed from society for even mentioning the name Axle Lee Olinger. Jett and Brooke are my call. Jamie seems to have conceded for Jett but still favors Madison just as she has from day 1. I am late getting on road to campus. Talk later. Take care.
